Brief description of works

Eco-1 Electrical Solutions was appointed to provide a complete electrical installation for the Bear Grylls Adventure at the NEC in Birmingham, a cutting-edge indoor and outdoor adventure park. The project, which spanned two levels, included an array of thrilling attractions such as an assault course, boulder climb, shooting and archery range, a shark dive experience, an indoor skydiving facility, and an external high ropes course. Additionally, Eco-1 completed the electrical systems for the retail shop, restaurant, staff offices, and welfare areas.

  • LV Transformers and Private HV Network: Providing efficient and reliable power distribution to support the large-scale adventure park.:
  • LV Distribution System: Complete with earthing and bonding to ensure electrical safety and optimal functionality.
  • Containment Systems: To manage and protect the electrical cabling across the expansive site.
  • LV Small Power Systems: To provide power for equipment, lighting, and operational systems.
  • Mechanical Power Supplies: Supporting the mechanical systems, including HVAC and other environmental controls.
  • Mains Lighting System: Installing energy-efficient lighting throughout the attraction, including both interior and exterior spaces.
  • External Lighting System: Ensuring outdoor areas, such as the high ropes course and entry points, are well-lit for safety and ambiance.
  • Emergency Lighting System: Ensuring safe evacuation routes and compliance with safety standards.
  • Lightning Protection System: Protecting the site from electrical storms and ensuring operational continuity.
  • IT Cat 6 Cabling System: Delivering high-speed data connectivity across the facility.
  • Fire Alarm System: Incorporating VESDA systems for early smoke detection to ensure safety for all visitors and staff.
  • Public Address (PA) System: Enabling effective communication across the large facility.
  • CCTV System: For comprehensive security surveillance and monitoring of the site.
  • Access Control System: Ensuring the security of restricted areas, including staff and equipment spaces.
  • Intruder Detection Alarm System: Protecting the facility from unauthorized access.
  • Disabled Assistance Alarm and Refuge Stations: Ensuring full accessibility and safety for all visitors.
  • IFLY Control Wiring: Specific wiring and systems to support the high-energy indoor skydiving experience.
